Winter Tritina

Christmas Eve

The cold winter moon shines at midnight,
Casting soft rays of borrowed light,
Painting rolling hills of snow, white.

Trees dressed up in robes of white
Glow faintly beneath the deep velvet blue midnight
And sway to the wind in the gentle moon light.

A sleigh comes into sight and on the roof it lights,
As snowflakes blanket the world in white
And the great grandfather clock chimes twelve for midnight.

Children snuggled in beds feathered white, as Father Christmas flies into the midnight sky, winter magic dusting the frosty heaven with sparkling light.
